I am a follower of Jesus Christ, mommy to Jimmy and Matthew and wife to Jim. We live on a small, almost 20 acre farm.

Our beloved blue Merle Australian Shepherd, Duke, sadly passed away on July 22, 2009 at the age of 6 and we miss him very much.

We were blessed with 2 Aussie puppies a few months after Duke passed away though, Bo, a red merle and Luke, a blue merle just like Duke. (Update) Sadly, Bo passed away May 5th, 2012.

We also have another dog, Cody, a Border Collie.

We have 2 horses - Gunner, a Tennessee Walker, and Pegasus, an off-track Thoroughbred.

This blog is ever changing as are our interests. Most recently, we have become interested in being more self sustainable and learning about God's awesome creation. I am learning about foraging for wild plants that are useful for food and medicine. I am also trying to be as natural as I can with all the products used in our home and on our bodies. Small steps, but we are getting there!
