My First Giveaway!!!

I mentioned a giveaway last Friday didn't I? Alright, well here it is. In honor of our new puppy, and in remembrance of our sweet Duke, I am going to give away an 8x10 Custom Pet Portrait done by little 'ole me. The winner will be able to choose what medium they want it in: color pencil, black & white charcoal, oil painting, acrylic painting, or watercolor. The winner will be required to send me a photo of their pet so make sure you have a good one in mind! We will talk more about that when we email each other.

All you need to do to enter is leave me a comment and tell me what pet (name, type of animal) you would want a portrait done of (and don't forget your email if I don't have it!).

I forgot to add that this contest is open to residents of the US and Canada only! =)

You will have until Midnight (eastern time) Wednesday, October 7th to enter. The winner will be chosen the old fashioned way, out of a hat, by little Jimmy =) and announced on Thursday October 8th sometime.

A little fyi: This will be the first time I have done a pet portrait for someone. I am hoping that doing this will help me get back into doing more artwork! If it goes well, you can be sure I will have more artsy giveaways in the future =)

Great idea Ali!! I definitely would like a pet portrait! By you, of course!
I would use Sadie, my blue merle Aussie. I think she is so photogenic and she is my little princess, most of the time anyways!! email- thepaintedcreek@gmail.com

How wonderful! I'd love to have one done of...hmmm...this would be a tough choice. It would either be my most favorite fur baby of all time (who has passed away) or of our husky. She is a beautiful dog...and she's so patient and wonderful..and protective of my babies.

Wow! This IS a very generous giveaway! How very thoughtful of you. I just started my own contest over on my blog tailwindssouth.blogspot.com and your contest will help me figure out what I'm doing...LOL! As for an entry for your contest, I'd pick The Dolly Mmama. She's a purebred black dog (yes, I make up breeds for all of my rescues...LOL). She used to be just Dolly and then we got 4 approx. 5 wk old puppies dumped on some railroad trax. I always thought Dolly would make a great mama but the world didn't need more purebred black dogs so she was spayed. Anyway, she took to these puppies like a duck on a june bug. That's how she became known as The Dolly Mmama!
Good luck to everyone! Thank you country mom!

I would just love this. We lost our Gracie in July and a picture would be perfect. She was a manx...no tail to monkey with.

Hi Ali! What a great giveaway you have going on. Love this idea. Of course I would love to have a portrait of my "Wally" cat.

I just started taking a watercolor class and it's been so much fun. Although, much harder than I thought it would be!
