Quilt Raffle for Haiti

Where Have I Been?

I didn't blog last week....I posted my photos on my Cross Creek Farm blog, but didn't post anything here. Well, here is what I have been working on. This is a tutu and a princess hat I made for my best friend's daughter's 3rd birthday. I love how they turned out! Makes me want a little girl, maybe that's what we are having. Only 5 more months until we find out! But anyway, I made the tutu by cutting pieces of tulle about 6 inches by 20" or so and then knotting them onto a piece if 1/2 inch elastic. The tutorial I used can be found here. For the princess hat, I just found a photo of one that I liked on Etsy and followed this tutorial to help me along. I made a couple adjustments to fit my liking. I added a pair of butterfly wings (I found them on clearance while at Jo-Ann's getting the fabric) to the present. And voila! A cute little fairy princess outfit. I think it was a hit. When Jocelyn opened it, she put the hat on right away. It was so cute!

VGNO - Thanks Belly!

So here in Ohio we are getting a bit of a snow storm. Not so much as the east coast, thank the Lord, but enough to make me want to crawl into bed and hibernate until the spring flowers are popping up! So I think a Virtual Girls Night Out is in order, because there is NO WAY I am going out in this snowy, slushy mess. Want to join in? Head over to Ann's to blog hop and meet some new friends!

I just have to share something that happened today that struck me as hilarious. Ok, I am 4 months pregnant, getting a belly now and at lunch time I was peeling a hard boiled egg for little Jimmy. Well, I dropped it and it was about to fall on the floor, but it bounced off my belly and I caught it! It was great, prolly a "had to be there" moment, but I got a kick out of it. Especially since right when I dropped it I was thinking, great, that totally figures, there goes the last egg, etc. but then to my amazement my luck changed. That hardly ever happens lol!

Monday: Chicken & Noodles (maybe, might get switched with Tuesday)

Tuesday: Spaghetti & Meatballs, Garlic toast & side salad, green beans for Jimmy

Wednesday: Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Thursday: Baked Potato Soup

Friday: Free Night or Homemade Pizza, depends if I feel like it!
