Meet our new red merle Aussie pup, Bo. As in Bo Duke . Jim came up with that, I thought it was cute and works well, now we just need to find our blue merle puppy so we can have Bo & Luke Duke... ;-) He was a very tired boy and fell right asleep next to Jim and laid there for a good while, even after Jim finally got up. And right now he is sleeping right under my chair as I type this. He is a cutie.
I have to admit I never wanted a red merle, I was actually wanting a red tri (solid brown with copper and white accents) since we have been having trouble finding any blue merles around here (I found one that I LOVE but thats another story...). But we went to see these puppies and were trying to choose between a red-bi (no copper points) and this guy and Jim really seemed to like him a lot so we brought him home. Now that we have him I really like him and I have been looking at pics of red merles on google and they are pretty. I just have a thing for blue merles though, they are still my favorite =D Soo....Bo will one day have a puppy brother to play with (Barb, if you happen to read this, I will email you soon ;-) )! The more the merrier I say ;(ok, but seriously, 2 is the limit!!) Now, I am off to bed, I just wanted to let everyone know the joyous news and to document the newest addition to our family. Hmmm...maybe I will celebrate with my very first giveaway....you better be sure to check back in the next couple days to see what it will be!!

He is so cute. I have always loved the way that Aussie's look. Love both merles and the red tri. I know that they need a "job" to do, would you consider them hyper? I mean if they were on a 1/2 acre of land and mostly in the house would they be happy or eat everything in sight because they were bored?
Oh Ali!! I am sooooo happy for you guys!! Bo is adorable!!
I am so much like you, I LOVE blue merles, there just is something about them! I hope you can find a blue to keep that red tired! I am so glad I got 2, with only a year difference in age, they play like CRAZY! With a Sadie fight every now and than, but that has gotten so much better! I couldn't imagine ever having only one Aussie, gotta have two!!
So exciting!!
I am so happy too! You guys need this sweet little boy, and I am so excited for the stories and pictures we will be seeing and hearing!
How special to that Jim was drawn to Bo to be his dog...
My two Corgi's are herding dogs too, and they do better in pairs. The more they wear each other out, the less I have to do it!
Yay!!!! So cute!!!
ali, your baby bo is so sweet! i want to pet him and hold him! i am so glad you are getting another pup...two is better than one!
he's adorable!!
I'm thinking about adopting another dog... but I'm worried that I won't be able to handle 2 by myself... I feel bad enough as it is when I don'g feel well to walk Emma. But then sometimes I wonder if there is another dog she might get more exercise because she'll be running around WITH another dog not just running to the gate to look out and occasionally around the yard. hmm.
So funny that you never wanted a red tri. If I ever got an aussie, I'd totally want a red one! And I call them brown! But I guess that just shows that I'm totally NOT an aussie-type person! HA!!! :) (Or perhaps herding dog person) ... Oh to have a snuggly, sweet, cuddly, puppy breath baby furball to curl up with!!!! If Nola only had that sweet breath I'd be fooled ;) Precious!
Hey! Almost forgot, how's the shampoo thing going? Still on the "raw" shampoo????
He is so cute! Enjoy your new puppy!
