Thankful Thursday - Weekend Getaway #2

I am Thankful for our second little getaway this past weekend....and I am Thankful that little Jimmy feels better after being sick since Monday and that he didn't get sick over the weekend!

So where did we go this time? A little place called Long's Retreat, again, in southern Ohio. Its about an hour or so closer to home than Shawnee State Park (where we went the weekend before). We have been going the last few years with a couple we know. We skipped last year because they had just had twins and Jimmy was pretty young, but this year we took the kiddos! It was pretty fun, except one of the girls got sick, poor thing (yep, then Jimmy got sick when we got home). But we made the best of it and had a good time.

The "boys" got to go play with these (there is an ATV course nearby, fun!)

While us girls (and little Jimmy, sorry bud, you got a few years before you can go with the big boys!) did this (and took naps):

Then when the guys got back we took the kids to ride the carousel and play some games (Sorry, I forgot my camera when we went to ride the carousel, still kicking myself. You could have seen me RIDING the poor carousel horse with Jimmy in front of me, what a sight lol!)

The girls enjoyed playing Skeeball (ok, their daddy was playing) ;-)

while Jimmy made faces because mommy MAY have gotten a little too into a quarter game... ;-)

Then in the evenings, us big kids enjoyed a lot of this while the kids were sleeping:

Then after a fun filled weekend, one little guy was ready to go home.
